B.Tech-M.Tech Five Year Course

Ten Semester(Five Year) Integrated Dual Degree Master of Technology Course in four streams of Converging Technologies. The course is of non-affiliating nature and available on the campus only. The Course has been cited as “This new technology education programme (of University of Rajasthan) may become a pattern for other universities” at the Portland International Conference on Management of Engineering and Technology 2007(PICMET-07), Portland, USA.
The Master’s Programme will have two years of common curriculum in all fields of basic science, and engineering. The Third Years course involves training in all streams of converging technologies. The last two years of education will be fully customisable in specialised domains in the stream of Converging Technologies.
All courses of First to Fourth Semesters the candidate will be awarded dual degree B.Tech and M.Tech in a particular stream of Converging Technologies. M.Tech degree will be awarded on the basis of performance in Ten semester and the stream in which he has obtained Maximum Credits. E.tech Degree will be awarded on the basis of performance in First to Eight semesters and the stream in which he has obtained maximum credits in these semesters. The students admitted in 2023-2024 under Then Semester M.Tech Will also have the exit option on completion of sis semesters with a diploma in Converging Technologies. The training will include multi disciplinary perspective necessary for rapid progress of the new technologies and create a synergistic view for potential application in various ares of relevance.

Medium of Instruction and Examination is English Only.

The annual cultural and sports event, VERVE, has been a very attractive feature providing a weeklong celebrations and opportunities to showcase talent.

Eligiblity

Admissions will be made purely on the basis of merit in International / National Entrance Exams like SAT, JEE(Advanced), JEE(Main), NEET, AIIMS, BITSAT, RPET etc. The candidate should be passed the 10+2 with Science Subjects (Both Mathematics and Biology, group students are eligible). Minimum eligibility shall be 55% score or equivalent grade in the Senior Secondary Examination of RBSE or CBSE or equivalent. Reservations of sheets will be as per University and Government of Rajasthan policy. The minimum eligibility criterion for SC/ST category will be reduced to minimum pass marks if required to fill the seats of these categories. The number of seats may be increased from present 120 on approval of Vice-Chancellor to accommodate more talented students as course is run under SFS and facilities created may be optimally used. Students who are applying for XII Examination in 2023 are also eligible to apply. However, Their eligibility for admission is subjected to fulfilling the requirement of passing XII Examination. To attract talented students from foreign countries and NRI/PIO students, the fee of NRI/PIO/Foreign students will be at per with other local students seeking admission to this course for students admitted in the academic session 2023-24
